Questions our customers ask us…
How much will my benchtop cost?
Prices vary depending on the product and size of your benchtop. It’s best to speak with one of our friendly team members who can go over your benchtop plan with you.
How do I look after my benchtop?
Wellington Granite recommends you clean your stone benchtop with hot soapy water or we do sell a variety of stone cleaners – please call our showroom to discuss your options.
How do I look after my granite benchtop?
Granite is a very durable material, however we recommend protecting your investment by not putting hot pots directly on it, and avoiding cutting directly onto your benchtop. Granite should not stain, however some granites are more porous than others. We recommend not storing oil-based products such as oil or margarine on your benchtop as prolonged exposure will cause staining. Wipe your spills up immediately and avoid sitting or standing on unsupported stone.
How do I care for my marble benchtop?
Marble is prone to staining and scratching and will require careful treatment – it is important to keep the marble clean. Wellington Granite recommends you clean your marble benchtop with hot soapy water and a clean cloth twice daily as part of your daily routine. Wipe up spills immediately after. Placemats are essential to prevent staining and scratching. Avoid sitting or standing on unsupported stone.
How do I care for my engineered stone benchtop?
Wellington Granite recommends you clean your engineered benchtop with hot soapy water. Please ask us about our suppliers’ care instructions.
